ACT Implementation of National Education ReformIn 2008, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) committed to a comprehensive education reform agenda for Australia. To facilitate this agenda, National Partnership agreements were developed to fund specific projects and deliver on nationally-significant reforms. National Partnership agreements mark the beginning of a new way in which government and non-government schools and the ACT and the Australian Governments will work together to deliver better outcomes for students. National Partnership agreements are joint initiatives of the Australian Government, the ACT Government, the ACT Catholic Education Office and ACT Association of Independent Schools. The National Partnerships focus on the following areas of priority: Building the Education Revolution; Literacy and Numeracy; Low Socio-economic Status School Communities; Teacher Quality; Digital Education Revolution; Early Childhood Reform; Productivity Places Program; Youth Transitions and Attainment; and Trade Training Centres |
