External brickwork is complete and preparation for external cladding is underway

The electrical rough-in in the new building has been completed.

All the services rough ins have now been completed and work on the external cladding is finished. Work is now underway on the internal partitioning.

Internal wall sheeting and ceilings are being installed. The concrete slab for a covered walkway between buildings is ready to be poured.

The pouring of the concrete for the covered walkway and at the entrance to the building was delayed by rain and is now due to take place this week. Inside the building all the wall and ceiling sheeting has been installed and is ready for painting work to start.

Rainwater tanks have been installed to provide water that can be used for irrigating landscaping or flushing toilets. The external covered walkway is completed. Internal painting has begun.

The new building is moving closer towards completion with internal painting completed, tiling work underway and joinery being installed. The next stage will be the laying of flooring material and the electrical fit-off.

Internally the electrical fit-off is taking place. External work includes the construction of an access path to lead to the new building.

The new multipurpose building, which includes a practical activities area with kitchenette, a shared learning area and dedicated storage space has now been completed and was handed over to the school on 5 August 2010.

The BER Recognition Ceremony to celebrate the completion of the building works at the school will be held on 8 September 2010.
