07 Jun 2010 - Rain over the previous week has caused slight delays; however work to prepare for the construction of the slab has progressed. This photograph shows waffle pods delivered to the site. These are installed in the slab and assist in insulating the building.
19 Jun 2010 - This image shows the formwork for the waffle-pod slab. The new building will have two different floor levels to accommodate performing arts and music areas - this thicker slab will form the upper level.
19 Jun 2010 - Concrete being pumped into the conventional slab that will form the lower level of the new building.
19 Jun 2010 - Curved formwork is being constructed for the semi-circular band stage room.
28 Jun 2010 - The upper level of the slab has been poured. This will be the band stage.

08 Aug 2010 - Design modification work has been completed, and work is expected to begin during the next week on the erection of the building's steel framing. Access doorways have been cut into the existing part of the building to limk to the new section.
25 Aug 2010 - Work on the steel frame is proceeding. The tabs on the roof girders are for the attachment of purlins to support the roof sheeting.
25 Aug 2010 - With construction of the structural steel frame underway, it is becoming easier to see the shape of the extended hall. This image shows the curved outside wall of the new part of the building.
10 Sep 2010 - The roof framing has been installed, and blockwork construction of the walls is beginning.
10 Sep 2010 - Blockwork construction of the lower walls is well underway. This image shows formwork being constructed for the upper walls.
29 Sep 2010 - Mesh has been installed on the roof structure ready to roll out the roof insulation and install sheeting.
29 Sep 2010 - Formwork has been built to support the construction of the box guttering for the new building.
29 Sep 2010 - The internal framing of the building is taking shape.
29 Sep 2010 - The external walls are complete, roof insulation is in place and the roof sheeting has been installed. The building is now weathertight and internal work can now proceed more comfortably under cover.
12 Oct 2010 - Inside the building wall and ceiling sheeting is about to be installed.
