External brickwork is in progress and a verandah is under construction outside the new classroom

Despite some hold ups caused by rain, the building work is making good progress. Work on the external cladding and the eaves is almost completed and electrical and plumbing work is being roughed in internally. It is expected that internal plasterboard will be finished next week.

The installation of internal wall and ceiling sheeting is almost complete. A plumbing inspection is scheduled and following that work on interior painting will begin. External work still to be completed includes the verandah railing and access ramps.

Painting in the Ghudinjah building has been completed and the electrical fitout is taking place. Joinery has been installed and it is expected that floor coverings will be in place by the end of the week. Some minor external work is still to be completed, including concrete ramps to access the main door and the verandah.

The building is in the final stages of completion, and will be handed over to the school on Wednesday 30 June, 2010.

The Ghudinjah Building has been completed and was handed over to the school on 30 June 2010.
