14 May 2010 - Site establishment in preparation for the works to extend the school's assembly hall and provide additional storage space
31 May 2010 - Demolition of an area of concrete paving in preparation for the extension of the school's assembly hall.
07 Jun 2010 - Internally, the old school hall is being demolished to allow for the extension.
07 Jun 2010 - The old stage is being completely demolished and a larger one will be built as part of the works on the new hall.
07 Jun 2010 - Externally, the building pad for the slab for the extension has been built up and completed.
19 Jun 2010 - Hydraulic work is near completion. The next stage of work will be the diversion of existing gas lines. These steps are necessary before detailed footing work can be undertaken.
28 Jun 2010 - Inside the old hall, temporary ply sheeting has been laid to protect the parquet while work on walls and ceiling takes place. The left hand wall in the photograph will be demolished further into the construction as the hall is being extended on that side.
06 Jul 2010 - Work has begun on demolishing the external wall. It is necessary to do this before the slab is poured in order to accurately match the new slab to the existing floor.
06 Jul 2010 - The demolition of the hall wall as seen from outside the building. Protective covering has been laid over the floor inside and mesh has been used to secure the building while work is going on.
15 Jul 2010 - The footprint of the assembly hall extension can be clearly seen in this image.
15 Jul 2010 - The footings (with starter bars inserted) have been poured and are ready for low-level blockwork to be constructed. The next stage after the blockwork is laid will be the pouring of the slab.
09 Aug 2010 - The footings for the construction of a utility structure.
09 Aug 2010 - The slab has been poured, and has been coloured with black oxide which helps to speed the curing process.
10 Sep 2010 - The old stage has been demolished. This photo shows work progressing on a much larger new stage which will be more in scale with the extended building.
07 Oct 2010 - The stage frame has been completed and the stage floor has been laid. Now, the front face is being filled in.
