Construction due to begin 10 May 2010

Site establishment is underway in preparation for the construction of a multi-purpose building, which will include two new classrooms and a multi-purpose area.

Site establishment and bulk earthworks have been completed ready for the construction of the new multipurpose building. Excavations are currently underway to allow for services connection.

Rain has caused slight delays during the previous week, causing trenching for services connection to be still underway. The next stage will be detailed excavations for the new building's footings.

The footings for the new building have been excavated and poured.
- 28 Jun 2010 - Palmerston District Primary P21
While the footings have been curing, work has been carried out on plumbing and drainage connections. The next stage will be the construction of the slab.

Work is continuing on the inground services before slab construction begins.

Reinforcing mesh has been laid and it is hoped (weather permitting) that the slab for the new building will be poured during the next week.
- 09 Aug 2010 - Palmerston District Primary P21
Wet weather slowed progress slightly, but the slab has now been poured and marked out ready for the erection of structural steel, the first stage in the construction of the frame. It is hoped that this will begin later this week.
- 25 Aug 2010 - Palmerston District P21
The structural steel frame is being constructed and blockwork has begun on the internal classroom walls. This blockwork is expected to take around another three weeks to complete.
- 29 Sep 2010 - Palmerston District Primary P21
Work is still underway on the external walls of the building, where upper level panelling will soon be installed. The next stage will be the installation of the windows, and the beginning of the electrical rough-in.

A BER Recognition Ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Palmerston District Primary School P21 project will be held on 11 March 2011
