Transportable relocated completed for start of school year. Site establishment has continuing. Preparation/clean up on building site commenced

Slab completed for the Library extension and multipurpose building

Steel frame nearing completion for the new library extension and multipurpose building

The roof framing for the new building has been completed, and scaffolding is in place for the roof sheeting to be installed.

Work is about to start on the installation of external blockwork and roofing.

The building has been roofed, and the blockwork for the external walls is finished. Work is well advanced on the construction of the internal walls which will divide the building into a large central multipurpose space with three classrooms on each side.

Internal work is continuing on the construction of the classrooms. Design features such as high banks of louvred windows will encourage natural cross-flow ventilation and admit high levels of natural light, providing a comfortable working environment for students. The next stage of the construction will be the installation of ceiling and wall sheeting.

Work is underway on the installation of ceiling insulation and sheeting, which is done in a mini-ripple corrugated steel finish.

In the classrooms, ceilings have been lined and windows installed over the past week. In the central multipurpose area, the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system is being installed. The building incorporates a raft of design features which will assist in maintaining an even summer temperature, so this system is primarily aimed at providing supplementary winter heating.

Internal linings have been completed, as has the installation of the HVAC system. Internal windows, which will allow the penetration of natural light into the classrooms, have been installed in the dividing walls between classrooms and the multipurpose area. Outside,construction has begun on an external shade structure to provide a sheltered area for seating or recreation.

In the six new classrooms joinery has been installed and final painting work is underway. Outside, soffall has been installed under the shade structure and its roof framework is being constructed.
- 09 Sep 2010 - Amaroo School P21
The new building and the shade structure have been completed and were handed over to the school on 3 September 2010.
