Installation of building platform, footings and inground services in progress

Work is continuing on stormwater drainage prior to pouring the slab for the new building.

Despite some delays caused by rainy weather, hurdles have been put in place for setting out the building.

The footings for the new building have been poured.

Plumbing has been installed for the student toilets. More work will now take place on inground services before slab construction can start. The structural steel for the building has been delivered to the site, ready for frame construction at a later date.

Starter bars have been installed around the footings ready for wall construction to commence.

Blockwork is proceeding on the external walls of the new building. The next stage will be the pouring of the slab.

The slab for the new library has been poured and will now require a curing period before attaining maximum structural strength.

Structural steel has been delivered to the site and the erection of the building's steel frame is underway.

Work is continuing on the erection of the steel frame for the new library, with the roof structure now largely in place. Work has been done on an existing walkway to rectify drainage problems and replace uneven paving.

Work is progressing rapidly on the construction of external feature brickwork walls. Internally, the electrical wiring is being roughed in. The next stage will be the installation of the roof insulation and roofing sheeting.

A BER Recognition Ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Aranda Primary School P21 project will be held on the 4th of March 2011
