Governance Structure
The Directorate Governance Structure provides information regarding the organisational structure of the Directorate, incorporating schools and central office units. The Governance Structure is an important representation of Directorate decision-making and advisory structures and incorporates key elements of the Strategic Plan 2010-13: Everyone matters.Directorate Committees
The Directorate’s Committee Structure centres on a Senior Executive Team and a Corporate Executive committee and four standing committees for School Planning, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Security and Emergency Management, and the School Network Reference Group.
Senior Executive Team
The Senior Executive Team is the peak decision-making body of the Directorate and is responsible for significant operational, policy and resourcing decisions and approvals. The senior executive team sets and reviews the strategic direction of the Directorate and monitors performance in key areas.
Corporate Executive
Corporate Executive assists the Director-General and the Senior Executive Team to determine priorities and make decisions in relation to strategic, policy and management issues affecting the work of the Directorate.
Corporate Executive receives and considers reports from the Directorate’s committees and reviews and advises on any issues referred to it by the Director-General.
Standing Committees
Four standing committees provide direction, develop policies, determine priorities and monitor the implementation of initiatives relating to each committees area of responsibility.
