Employment Agreements

Current Agreements

What are Enterprise Agreements?

Enterprise Agreements are the primary source of employment conditions in the Department.
Enterprise Agreements are negotiated between employees and the Department in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Each agreement must be approved by a majority of employees who vote prior to lodgement with Fair Work Australia. Enterprise Agreements should be read in conjunction with the relevant Industrial Awards, Legislation and Standards.

“This Agreement has been varied by Fair Work Australia following amendments to the PSM Act to
establish the office of the head of service and the introduction of the Administrative Arrangements
2011 (No1) to establish nine administrative units, known as directorates. The amendments were
necessary to ensure that no staff member was placed at any disadvantage because of structural
and administrative changes to the ACT Public Service from 1 July 2011 and to ensure that related
  delegations continue to operate.”
