The theme for the 2012 is ‘Voyage’
It is not essential that Visual Art work submitted for selection fit in with this theme
Visual Arts Information - Selection Process and Exhibition Timeline
- Visual Arts: Open to all 2D and 3D visual art forms including photography and Digital Media (Pre-School to Year 12).
- Schools can submit any work completed since August 2012
- Selection: Teachers will need to complete the nomination form above by Friday 15 June (week 7). Once the form is submitted, teachers will receive an email with information on how to submit images for the selection process name
- Successful schools notified of inclusion by Friday 22 June (End of Week 8, Term 2). With mounting instructions. The Visual Arts coordinators will mount a number of pieces to ensure consistency of appearance in the Art exhibition
- Schools to supply artwork by end of term 2.
- Exhibition bump in ANU School of Art Gallery Monday 6 August
- Exhibition bump out ANU School of Art Gallery 4pm Saturday 18 August
- Return to Schools Friday 31 August
Visual Arts – Gallery and Display Specifications
- Schools should avoid using frames, preparing or mounting work until after the work has been selected.
- Teachers will be advised of specific display requirements after work has been selected.
