School Excellence Initiative
Achieving Excellence in ACT Government Schools
The purpose of the School Excellence Initiative is to provide an overarching framework for achieving high standards in student learning, innovation and best practice in ACT government schools.
The School Excellence Initiative is grounded in the principles of implementing best practice, attaining high standards, conducting self assessment, developing innovation, promoting professional learning communities, and delivering quality teaching.
The objective of the School Excellence Initiative is to create excellence in all aspects of learning and teaching, leadership and management, community involvement and student environment in ACT government schools.
The School Excellence Initiative is based on a conceptual framework. At the centre of the conceptual framework is student achievement and learning. All other aspects of the framework support this objective.
