Distance Education
Distance education is a facility provided to ACT resident students unable to attend the school they are enrolled in due to:
- travelling within Australia or overseas
- medical conditions
- being a vocationally talented student or
- confinement/nursing mothers
Distance education services for the ACT are supplied by the NSW Department of Education and Training through their Queanbeyan Distance Education Centres.
Both full time and single course study programs are available for students meeting defined eligibility criteria.
Full time educational programs are available to support students who are isolated or whose special circumstances prevent them from attending school on a regular basis.
Single course enrolments are available to students who are enrolled in full time study at a local high school. Enrolment will be considered only when the full time school agrees to a range of conditions that support the student's study program. Single course enrolments attract a fee to be paid to the distance education provider by the school or the parents.
