Career Advisor Cluster Funding 2008

The Career Advisor Cluster Funding Program aims to:

  • Improve the standard of career advice
  • Bring about ongoing improvment in careers development for students
  • Provide the opportunity for greater collaboration between careers counsellors/advisors in schools.

In 2008, the outcomes for the career cluster program will be focused on using the ‘Australian Blueprint for Career Development’ (ABCD) and the DEEWR ‘Careers Education Quality Framework.’ Christine Haines from Miles Morgan will present one of the workshops on the ABCD and DEEWR will be represented at the Directions ’08 Conference on 14 April 2008.

The closing date for applications is Friday 7 March 2008.

Careers in Manufacturing External Link
Manufacturing Skills Australia (MSA) is addressing the skills needs of over 75,000 manufacturing businesses employing almost one million Australians. MSA is the national Industry Skills Council, which works with Australian Government, and the manufacturing industry to ensure that the skills needs of enterprises are being met. The website has a great range of information sheets about jobs and careers in manufacturing.
