ACT Public Education’s Arts Showcase Event
On behalf of the Minister for Education and Training, Mr Andrew Barr MLA, the Department of Education and Training is proud to present Step into the Limelight at Canberra Theatre 26 August (rehearsal day) and 27 August (matinee and gala performances) 2008. Step into the Limelight is an extraordinary evening of visual and performing arts created and presented by students of ACT public schools.

This showcase event brings the creative and artistic talents of preschool to year 12 government school students to the ACT community. In 2007, over 800 students exhibited work across a broad range of art forms including dance, drama, instrumental music, choral music, digital media and visual arts. In 2008 outstanding student talent will be on show again as Step into the Limelight evolves into the premier Arts event for students in ACT schools.

This showcase event brings the creative and artistic talents of preschool to year 12 government school students to the ACT community. In 2007, over 800 students exhibited work across a broad range of art forms including dance, drama, instrumental music, choral music, digital media and visual arts. In 2008 outstanding student talent will be on show again as Step into the Limelight evolves into the premier Arts event for students in ACT schools. This is your opportunity to join over 2,000 parents and friends to acknowledge and celebrate the amazing depth of artistic talent found in our government schools as our students shine in August.
