Drug Education

The drug education curriculum seeks to support students to make well-informed, healthy decisions in their lives in relation to a range of matters, including drugs.

The Curriculum Support P-12 section assists teachers and school communities to improve wellbeing outcomes for students. This assistance includes professional learning, guidance, consultation and opportunities for schools to access external funding initiatives to build on their current school practice.

The Australian Government is providing funding through the Student Participation Drug Education Forums Programme for every ACT school to conduct a drug education forum. These forums are focused upon utilising peer participation strategies to engage students and parents in evidence based drug education. Schools can apply for funding of up to $1000 per school to conduct a drug education forum. Schools can also pool funds on a cluster basis. Please access the information package, the application form and the evaluation form through the links below.
