Course Description

MakingCents is a financial literacy program that focuses on providing primary school students with the essential understandings about managing their money.
The program consists of three units of work:

  • Lower Primary K-2: Using Money
  • Middle Primary 3-4: Budgeting and spending
  • Upper Primary 5-6: Calculating the cost

This course addresses the Essential Learning Achievement: The student makes informed choices about money and finance.

Targeted Audience

This course is suitable for teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Workshop Options

This is an 8 hour course consisting of 4 x 2 hour workshops.
Attendance at Workshop 1 is essential. Teachers may choose which additional workshops they attend.
