Completing Your Block Release Australian Apprenticeship
Some ACT Australian Apprentices undertaking a trade apprenticeship travel interstate to undertake their off-job training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), for example in Sydney or Melbourne. This usually occurs because there is no ACT RTO delivering the desired qualification. To ensure that you are provided with the evidence that the qualification was achieved through a competency based system and that competence was demonstrated both in the workplace and off the job, the Department will issue a Supporting Statement verifying the completion of your Apprenticeship.
There are some steps to follow to close your Training Contract, finalise your Apprenticeship, and receive the Supporting Statement from the Department.
- First you must get your final Certificate from the interstate RTO.
- Second you must download the Application to Complete Training Contract Block Release Apprenticeships Only form F4.
- Fill in the details on the form ensuring both Apprentice and Employer sign it.
- Attach the Certificate to the application form.
- Post or fax the form to the Department. Details for submitting the application are on the form itself.
The Department will forward your Supporting Statement to you and this will complete your Apprenticeship.
