Services Provided by TaTE for AACs
The Training and Adult Education Branch of the ACT Department of Education and Training is the State Training Authority for the Australian Capital Territory. Please call (02) 6205 8555 for further information on any of the services listed below.
The Australian Apprenticeships and VET Initiatives section of the branch regulates and manages the national Australian Apprenticeships System in the ACT through three teams:
- User Choice – Australian Apprenticeships policy and funding, Registered Training Organisations, Training Packages and Group Training Organisations.
- Contract Management – regulation and management of the ACT Australian Apprenticeships System and Training Contracts.
- Contract Administration – daily administration of ACT Australian Apprenticeships.
We provide advice, support and assistance to all stakeholders in the Australian Apprenticeships System. Our staff are available during normal office hours.
Our teams manage the official records on all Australian Apprenticeships undertaken in the ACT through formal and electronic systems. Data is collected and stored at both local and national level.
We hold quarterly meetings with Australian Apprenticeships Centres operating in the ACT. The focus for these meetings alternates between administration and development. We encourage staff from all levels of Australian Apprenticeships Centres to attend these meetings.
