Making Changes to Your Training Contract
Under the Training and Tertiary Education Act 2003 only the ACT Department of Education and Training is authorised to make changes or variations to the original content of an approved Training Contract. The parties to the Training Contract, the employer and Australian Apprentice, must apply to the Department to make any changes or variations. Application forms are available on the Department’s website and cover events such as:
- Extending your Training Contract
- Suspending your Training Contract
- Cancelling your Training Contract
- Completing your Training Contract where you have undertaken all your off-job training in another State/Territory
- Changing the qualification on your Training Contract
- Changing your Registered Training Organisation
- Changing the type of Australian Apprenticeship
- Changing the employer’s details
- Changing the Australian Apprentice’s details
- Applying for a reduction of the duration of the Training Contract (Apprentices only)
- Changing the Australian Apprentice’s employment details
- Applying for an official progress record (Extract of Record) of the Australian Apprenticeship to complete it in another State/Territory
- Changing Ownership of the Business
