Funded Programs

The ACT Department of Education and Training provides funding for, and administers national funding for, a variety of programs related to the Vocational Education and Training (VET), Higher Education and Community Education sectors.

Adult and Community Education (ACE) Grants program
ACE funds Community Education providers for the delivery of community based education.

User Choice
User Choice funds Registered Training Organisations for the delivery of training to apprentices and trainees.

Strategic Priorities Program (SPP)
SPP funds Registered Training Organisations for programs in priority industry areas for participants from priority groups in the ACT

Joint Indigenous Funding Pool (JIFP)
The JIFP strategically targets funding to maximise education and training opportunities and outcomes for Indigenous Australians.

Equity Development and Training Innovation (EDTI) Program
An Australian G overnment funded program that provides funds for states and territories to undertake specific equity initiatives in vocational education and training.

COAG RPL Project
A three year program jointly funded by the ACT and Australian governments aimed at increasing the understanding of and support for Recognition of Prior Learning in the ACT.

Joint Group Training Program (JGTP)
A program jointly funded by the ACT and Australian governments to support Group Training Organisations (GTOs) to meet the skills needs of equity and target groups in the ACT.

National Training Infrastructure Program (Skills Centres)
An Australian G overnment funded program that provides funds  for capital expenditure such as buildings and equipment. There are three components:
