Vocational and Higher Education

Joint Indigenous Funding Project

The JIFP is jointly funded by the Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and the ACT Department of Education and Training. The JIFP strategically targets funding to maximise education and training opportunities and improve vocational education and training (VET) outcomes for Indigenous students. This is done by:

  • increasing funding availability and improving the ability of VET providers who train Indigenous Australians to access funding
  • allocating funds to providers who demonstrate competitive outcomes for Indigenous students, and
  • providing funding stability for providers over the life of the Skilling Australia’s Workforce Agreement (2005-2008) to facilitate strategic planning and improvement in service delivery.

Requirements, procedures and timelines to apply for JIFP funding are the same as that for the Strategic Priorities Program (SPP) funding.

Should you require further information or discussion regarding the JIFP please contact Sok Im on 02 6205 5795 or email sokseiha.im@act.gov.au.
