Reminder: National VET E-learning Strategy – Free professional development workshops

Between May and June 2012, a select program of free professional development opportunities are being offered to VET practitioners in the ACT as part of the National VET E-learning Strategy 2012-2015 free professional development workshop program.

Processing of User Choice payments and Compliance Reporting

To assist RTOs in tracking of User Choice payments claimed, a procedure has been implemented to process all payments regardless of eligibility for payment.

ACT Government announced funding of $500 000 for healthy living initiatives

Australian Apprenticeships – New forms

New forms for Australian Apprenticeships were released with the ACT Requirements for the delivery of Australian Apprenticeships training January – June 2012 on 16 December 2011. All Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) must use these new forms, which can be found on the ACT Education and Training Directorate website.

Australian Apprenticeships Mentoring Program

The Australian Apprenticeships Mentoring Program (Mentoring Program) was announced in the 2011-12 Budget as part of the $101 million Australian Apprenticeships Mentoring package. Under the Conditions of Registration within the AQTF 2007 Essential Standards for Registration, RTOs must collect, analyse and report on Quality Indicator data around Competency Completion, Learner Engagement and Employer Satisfaction.  Timelines and details on assistance available to meet these obligations are provided in this update.
