2011 ACT VET Activity Data - now overdue

The ACT Education and Training Directorate (the Directorate) is responsible for the collection of 2011 ACT VET activity data. Activity data submissions for 2011 are now overdue.

The 2011 AVETMISS data collection reports on VET activity undertaken between 1 January and 31 December 2011. This includes qualifications/courses that commenced prior to 2011 where activity continued into 2011, and qualifications/courses that commenced in 2011, including qualifications/courses that continue into 2012 and subsequent years.

This data is required to compile the annual national VET data collection consistent with the Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) for VET Providers Release 6.0. This data is also used by the Directorate for planning and funding purposes.

The AVETMISS collection for private training providers is primarily concerned with those qualifications/courses that are government funded. In the ACT these programs include:

  • Australian Apprenticeships
  • Kickstart Pre-Apprenticeships
  • Priorities Support Program
  • Productivity Places Program.

Activity data submissions were due to the Directorate by 3 February 2012. If you have not already, please email your submission to avetmiss.reporting@act.gov.au as a matter of urgency.

Failure to submit is a breach of the CASI agreement and will result in sanctions. Further, accuracy and timeliness of AVETMISS data reporting will negatively impact on registered training organisation’s applications for future funding rounds.

If you have any queries regarding the collection, phone (02) 6205 7057 or email avetmiss.reporting@act.gov.au.
