This has ensured that SKIRT has a continued influence in Vocational Education and Training for the hospitality sector. SKIRT “Raising the Hem in Training” was established in 2000 by Kelley Reay and Vicki Eveille. Both employed by prominent community based clubs and were instrumental in the internal training of staff, and as such recognised a critical need in the market for experienced, qualified trainers. Both Vicki and Kelley also identified there was the need for recognition of staff whom, although having many years of experience, held no formal qualifications.
